In the display of your campaign feedback as well as in your raw data visualization, you will certainly see the mentions "(not set)" and empty answers.
This article details what each of these mentions corresponds to in your feedback.
What does a "'(not set)" answer mean ?
The "(not set)" means that the respondent was not confronted with the element (question or button) during the progression of his survey. This can happen if :
- The respondent did not meet all the conditions necessary for the display of this element in his survey path due to a display condition
- The respondent did not meet all the conditions necessary for the display of this element in his survey path due to a redirection scenario
When the first answers are correctly recorded at the beginning of the survey but all next answers until the end are marked as "(not set)", it means that the respondent quit the survey midway before validating (and thus saving) his answer or click.
You can optimize the respondent's journey within the questionnaire by using display conditions on questions or scenarios.
What does a "N/A" answer mean ?
The "(N/A)" means that the respondent checked the DNK ("Do Not Know") checkbox in the relevant element.
What does an empty answer mean ?
The notion of empty means that the respondent was confronted with the element, saw it, but decided not to respond. It is possible to limit the occurrence of empty answers by making the response to this element mandatory.
