Adding test feedbacks to your surveys allows you not only to evaluate the journey of each respondent profile but also to establish a reference base for designing your performance and analysis indicators.
As described in the article How to test the deployment and the display of a survey ?, you have several tools and features available to test your surveys.
By default, when a campaign is not activated in the Feedback Management platform, all collected feedbacks are considered test feedback, meaning they are naturally excluded from your analyses.
Overview
If the "TEST MODE" banner appears at the top of the screen when opening a survey, it means that your answer will be recorded as a test feedback.
Test feedbacks are identified by a pink-orange background in the feedback list of your campaign. By default, they are not included in your analyses as they are not exploitable. As a result, they are also not deducted from your consumable package.
Using the test mode of a survey with URL deployment
If you want to use the "test mode" for a survey deployed via a URL link, start by creating a URL deployment attached to your campaign.
By default, the campaign is deactivated, so you can directly click the "Open" button if you want to test the survey without variables.
To use the "test mode" with variables (attributes), click on the "URL generator" button to manually fill in the variables (attributes).
Finally, if you have already activated your URL deployment but still wish to test the survey along the way without leaving a valid feedback, simply click on the "URL generator" button, optionally complete the variables (attributes), and check "Generate test URL".
Using the test mode of a survey with Email or SMS deployment via Skeepers
If you want to use the "test mode" for a survey deployed via Email or SMS through Skeepers, start by creating an Email or SMS deployment attached to your campaign.
By default, the campaign is deactivated, so you can directly click the "Send a test" button if you want to test the email leading to the survey and go through it.
Using the test mode of a survey with Web or InPage deployment
If you want to use the "test mode" for a survey integrated into a website, start by creating a Web or InPage deployment attached to your campaign.
By default, the campaign is deactivated and will not allow the survey to be displayed on the site. You must click on "Enable test mode" by selecting the arrow next to the "Activate" button if you want to test the survey integrated into your site.
