Learn how to trigger actions in a controlled and on-demand way. This configuration allows you to keep control over the timing and triggering conditions.
We will configure a campaign to trigger specific actions in a “manual” way.
For example, from a thank-you page, you want to redirect respondents interested in your products to a specific page on your website, dedicated to booking a demo.
- Within your campaign, click on the Actions tab to display the three steps that can be configured
- The step
offers you two options: “on page validation”, meaning your actions will be triggered when a specific page is validated by the respondent, and “manual”, where you will need to associate your scenario with a custom button in your survey, of type “Submit and execute a scenario”. In this example, select the manual option.
- After choosing manual triggering, add conditions at step
. You can use the “response category” condition, which allows you to use a category as a triggering condition. The category can be set for each of your response options during the configuration of your questions.
- For this example, redirecting visitors who are not yet customers to your website, choose a first Response condition (whether the customer is satisfied or not).
Configure the action
At step, you can select the redirect action and then enter the destination URL.
You can also add a flag to more easily identify all participants who are detractors.
Add a custom button
Finally, all you need to do is go back to the thank-you page of your campaign, hide the default submit button, and add a custom button.
The action will therefore be “Submit and execute a scenario”, selecting the scenario you just created.
When clicking the button, if your customer is a detractor, they will be redirected to your website, and a flag will be applied.
To deactivate a scenario without deleting it, simply use the “ON/OFF” button at the top left.
This button works with post-response actions as well as with scenarios, which allow you to modify the flow of the survey.
