Glossary
A theme is a necessary element for creating a design template. Each theme includes the graphical specifications that define the overall appearance of the survey. Skeepers offers six classic themes (Simple, Sagena, Egynn, November, Horizon, and Avis Vérifiés) as well as a conversational theme (Talky).
A design template is a preset layout that allows you to customize the appearance of your survey. Based on a predefined theme by Skeepers and adjusted to your graphic standards, it is possible to set a default template that automatically applies to all new deployments while having the option to create multiple secondary templates for both classic and conversational deployments.
An icon is a visual element used to display a customized rating scale. Icons uploaded to the platform must be in SVG format, have a .svg extension, include a viewBox tag, and be uncolored. Once uploaded, they are grouped in the icon gallery, accessible through the account settings.
A color scheme allows you to apply custom colors to survey elements such as "rating scale", "NPS" and "CSAT", whether they are represented by numbers, stars, smileys, or custom icons.
A favicon is a small graphic icon displayed in the browser tab, helping to visually identify your survey or website. It contributes to brand identity and enhances user comfort.
An HTML tag is an element that structures the content of the survey. It organizes information into logical and distinct sections where CSS styles can be applied. By mastering its usage, it is possible to build an optimized progress bar. Using it requires technical skills.
A CSS tag is an element that defines the style and appearance of HTML elements in a survey. It allows further customization of visual aspects such as colors, fonts, spacing and dimensions. Using it requires technical skills.
A tracking code is a unique identifier or a set of tags embedded in a survey element, enabling interaction tracking, data collection, and respondent behavior analysis. It is also possible to apply CSS customization to a tracking code to personalize a specific survey element. Using it requires technical skills.

Customize the survey design
Although the themes impose a non-modifiable display structure for the survey, you can customize the design by configuring campaign templates based on the structure of the selected theme. We explain all the steps and possibilities in the article Create design templates to customize surveys.

Design accessibility
In 2025, all Skeepers themes were updated to comply with the French RGAA accessibility standard (Référentiel Général d’Amélioration de l’Accessibilité). It is based on the international recommendations of the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). This initiative resulted in a revision of the design templates in place to improve accessibility and offer a better user experience in surveys.
To enhance accessibility, it is always possible to use custom CSS. However, certain technical limitations may restrict full compliance with the RGAA standard. This update aims to ensure partial compliance, without achieving absolute compliance.
If you use CSS tags to customize your survey design templates, we recommend verifying their display. Indeed, the update of Skeepers themes to comply with accessibility standards may potentially conflict with certain CSS rules you have defined.
What is the RGAA standard?
The RGAA standard (Référentiel Général d’Amélioration de l’Accessibilité) is a French regulatory framework aimed at ensuring that digital tools, such as websites, applications, or online surveys, are accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. Inspired by the international WCAG standards (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), the RGAA standard establishes specific criteria to improve the user experience for individuals with specific needs (Know more about the RGAA standard).
